In 1982, Newman's Own started as a tiny boutique operation-parchment labels on elegant wine bottle that Paul Newman filled with his homemade salad dressing and gave to his neighbors as holiday gifts. He expected train wrecks along the way and, instead, got one astonishment followed by another.
But in these thirty years, Paul Newman and Newman's Own Foundation have given over $450 million to thousands of charities. How to account for this massive success? They haven't the slightest idea, but on thing they do know is they are not stopping.
Today, Newman's Own produces over 200 individual products across 20 categories. Always great tasting, always top quality, just the way the founder, Paul Newman, insisted. They'll always follow his vision for putting quality first.
Newman's Own Organics sent us a box full of incredible snacks to review, like chocolate bars, peppermint patties, cookies, peanut butter cups and more.
Newman’s Own Organic offers a variety of items for those of us who want more out of our foods. Their products are made with quality organic ingredients. Newman’s Own Organics offers: coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dried fruits, pretzels, cookies, chocolates, mints, pop corn, soy crisps, and pet products.
My favorite was the Peanut Butter Chocolate Centers, The chocolate is rich in texture and provides the perfect companionship to the comforting creamy peanut butter center. They are made using certified organic cocoa beans.
My second favorite was the Chocolate Chip Family Recipe Cookies, They had a fresh homemade taste that was by far better than anything I have ever baked. They had delicious flavor and a nice crunch.
My wife really enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cups, they are rich and robust with just the perfect amount of mint to break up the richness.
Newman's Own has more than just sweets though. They offer a wide, amazing variety of dressings, sauce, salsa, pizzas, cereal, skillet meals, oils and vinegars and more.
