Are you looking for a fun game for the whole family? Ring It is a fun filled game from Blue Orange Games. Ring It is a great family game. I love having games that the entire family can play and enjoy together. Blue Orange Games has some amazing games that all kids will enjoy even adults. I recently had the chance to review Ring It and Crab Stack from Blue Orange Games. Clap and ring your way to victory. Players continuously flip their cards until a combo is found. Be the first to find the combo, clap your hands and ring the bell. Hesitation may cost you 1st place, but if you act too quickly you may make a mistake and face a penalty. The gameplay is basically "observe and react" to the cards being laid out one at a time on the table. Each of us received 10 cards, facedown, that we left in a pile in front of us. When we were ready, we would take turns turning our top card face up and placing it in front of us. As soon as either of us spotted a match either two of the same numbers or two of the same color you have to clap and then ring the bell to claim the cards. If you were correct you take all of the face up cards on the table and add them to the bottom of your pile. Last person remaining with cards is the winner. Ring It can be played with 2-9 players. It seems to be more fun in larger groups. And the great thing is this all fits into a little tin can. Inside the can is the bell, and round cards, and the directions. So it's easy to pick up and put away, and small and compact to take with you anywhere. This would make a great stocking stuffer or a gift. Crab Stack is another great game from Blue Orange Games. Crab Stack is a game for 2-4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Each player is given 9 crabs (3 small, 3 medium, 3 large), and all of them are randomly placed on the board at the beginning of the game. The goal of the game is to be the last player left. When you can’t make a valid move you are eliminated from the game. To set up, each player chooses a color. Take all the pieces of the chosen colors and mix them up, and then distribute them randomly across the board. On your turn, you must move one crab. Big crabs move one space, medium crabs move exactly two spaces, and small crabs move exactly three spaces–no backtracking allowed. You must move on other crabs and not open spaces, and you must end your move on top of a crab that’s the same size or smaller. So big crabs can end anywhere, but small crabs must end on top of another small crab. I like that the rules are very easy to learn but there’s enough depth to the game to keep even adults interested.
